ABOUT GHOLAMREZA KHALAJ

It brings inner joy and intellectual coherence to the viewer, opening a window to the beautiful world of Persian literature, art, and culture, while presenting humanistic concepts through the geometric shapes of letters and words.

BIOGRAPHY

Gholamreza Khalaj's journey as a master calligrapher began in childhood, where a stone-carved inscription sparked a deep appreciation for art. Encouraged by teachers and peers, he excelled in calligraphy, winning national accolades. Inspired by the works of calligraphy luminaries, he embarked on a dedicated path of learning, mastering Nasta'liq, Naskh, and Thuluth scripts.
 

His passion for calligraphy led him to contribute actively to the Iranian Calligraphers Association. Over the years, he focused on two key objectives: preserving and expanding calligraphy through education and organizing the association to better serve calligraphic artists nationwide.
 

With unwavering dedication, Gholamreza served in various leadership roles within the association, culminating in his presidency from 1379 to 1382. Under his guidance, the association achieved significant milestones, including the legalization of affairs and the enhancement of branch autonomy.

Gholamreza Khalaj's journey epitomizes a lifelong commitment to the art of calligraphy, marked by excellence, passion, and service to the calligraphic community.
